This article, from the Cape Cod Times, sets out to debunk some “myths” about labor and birth; though it conflates natural and medicalized births (it talks a lot about how doctors like “controlled births,” for example), it does stress that TV births are sensationalized and unrealistic. The end of the article is extremely pro-midwife, albeit in a hospital-birth context. Basically, it’s nice to see any press that denigrates TV birth shows and values midwives!
